No account. No cloud. No ads. DriveMint is a permit hours tracker that keeps supervised driving data on the phone. That is the product, not a toggle in settings.

Why parents look this up

A learner needs a log. A parent needs to know the hours are real. A third group does not want an insurance-adjacent telematics app watching a 15-year-old's braking and uploading routes. Those are three different searches. DriveMint is built for all three, especially the third.

What "no cloud" means in practice

• No DriveMint login. There is no password reset because there is no account.
• No DriveMint server copy of your drives. If the phone dies, restore from a backup file you exported. We cannot retrieve your log.
• GPS is optional. Time still logs with it off. With it on, the phone computes distance and does not keep the breadcrumb trail.
• QR share is device to device. The drive is in the code on the screen. We never see it.
• No ads, no app analytics SDKs. The Privacy Policy lists what sits in local SQLite and what does not.

Compared with account-based permit logs

Apps that pair a student account to a supervisor account can show progress from any browser. That convenience is the cloud. RoadReady's public site, for example, starts with "Create Account," links supervisor by email, and tells you to keep a data connection when you start and end a drive.
